An hi-jacking occurred on 2009-06-05 at 04:00 at C/o Duncan and Park Street. The complainant was threatened with a knife at his window. He then opened the door and an unknown man got into the vehicle. They drove to Mamelodi where another two unknown men got into the vehicle. They put him inside the boot and drove around with him. At one stage they stopped and took his shoes, his jacket and his bank cards. They ordered him to run. The vehicle was later recovered back.
An armed robbery occurred on 2009-06-07 at 18:00 at LC De Villiers sport grounds. The complainant and his girl friend was sitting at the fish pond when they were approached by two unknown armed men. They demanded money. The complainant did not have any money on him. They hit him in the face and took his cell phone, shoes and jacket.

The complainant was on her way to deposit money, when she was approached by an unknown man. When he took out his firearm a shot went of. He grabbed the money bag from her. On his way out a security guard confronted him. Another shot was fired. He ran in the direction of Lois Avenue where a white new shape BMW was waiting for him. They fled the scene. SECTOR 4 = DOWN No crimes were reported New drugs at schools: There is a type of crystal meth going around that look like strawberry pop rocks (the candy that sizzles and pops in your mouth). It also smells like strawberry. It is alleged that it are handed out to kids on the school grounds. In the Brooklyn precinct we did not receive such reports up to date. Please instruct children not to accept candy from strangers and even not to accept candy that look like this from a friend. They must take it to a teacher or an adult if they received any. |
